Fish Mustard Curry #Fish #Mustard #Curry

Fish Mustard Curry(Machha Besara) is typically Odia Dish prepared by Mustard Source.

Ingredients:

  1. Rohu Fish(500 Gram)
  2. Potato (1 Big size)
  3. Chopped Tomato (1 cup)
  4. Mustard Seed (2tsp)
  5. Cumin Seed(1/2 tsp)
  6. Green Chili (2-3no as per taste)
  7. Chopped Onion(1 big size)
  8. Ginger (1 inch)
  9. Garlic (6-7 cloves)
  10. Red chilli (1no)
  11. Dry Mango (1no)
  12. Panch Phutana(1/4 tsp)
  13. Chopped coriander leave
  14. Mustard Oil








Method:


  • Wash Fish Properly and marinate it for 30min with turmeric powder and salt.
  • Heat Sufficient oil on deep fry pan and fry all fish till its turn brown.(not more)
  • Now Grind mustard seeds, cumin seeds, garlic, ginger and green chili together and make a fine paste.
  • Heat Mustard Oil on another pan and add red chili, pancha phutana. Let them splutter. 
  • Now add chopped onion and pinch of salt. Fry for 2-3min.
  • Add Tomato and fry for another 2-min.
  • Now add mustard paste and fry it until oil separates .
  • Add turmeric powder, chili powder and potato.
  • Now add water and cover pan the water to simmer.
  • Boil until potato properly done, now add dry mangoo and boil for 5min.
  • Garnish with coriander leave before serve.
